Path to Hell

I knew it, deep down, that I would have to conquer this challenge,
This declaration of war.
Suddenly, there stod the door of hell.
Covered in the deaths of countless,
the blood of countless.
The darkness surrounded me,
crawled on me,
squirmed up my throat,
held me down.
Rays of light shed the darkness,
the light of hope,
the light of determination.
It pulled hard on my back, dragging me back down the path to hell.
The darkness chased after, gaining speed,
it came up to me, showing it's face of death to me.
I picked up my mighty weapon,
faster, quicker, swifter
I draw the face of death, showing him his deformed form.
He uttered the words of evil,
cursing me
hating me.
I was pulled out of the pits of darkness
still holding the malicious art in my hands.
